Each month we look at a genealogy dataset in Australia or New Zealand.  This month we look at the South Australia and the School Admission Registers 1873-1985.

The index for these records are held on Family Search.  The record contains the student names, birth dates and parents or guardians information.  Depending upon the year, records may also include date of admission, occupation of parent and place of residence.  The fantastic thing about this dataset is there is also a digital copy of the record available.
