Ms Judy Purkiss – Dip FHS, Dip Mgmt, MAAGRA
Researcher Type: Genealogist & Record Agent
Biography:
I am a AAGRA accredited genealogist and record agent who holds a Diploma in Family Historical Studies. I am the author of several family histories and articles for various magazines. I give detailed reports on all research undertaken.
I, especially like to find the hidden gems of information that make your ancestors more than just names, dates and places. This gives a better insight into their lives in the era they lived and a better understanding of the choices they made.
Finding and researching records is a strength and I use various record sets when locating information, these range from repositories like the National Archives of Australia, State Libraries, BMD registries, newspapers, Family Histories Societies etc, to commercial online sites like Ancestry.com, FindMyPast and more. Living in Western Australia I can visit repositories / archives in the metropolitan area and surrounding country areas.
I enjoy researching and ‘leave no stone unturned’.
